Pokemon Go: How to Unlock Mega Houndoom, Pidgeot, and More Pokemon in September

September has finally arrived, and Niantic has announced things which they are going to reveal very soon Pokemon Go. Niantic also informed the players through the in-game news option about new Mega Pokemon. Trainers in Pokemon Go are fully aware of the new Mega Update, and they are also aware of new challenges and opportunities that the new update has brought. For the Pokemon Go players, September is not a regular month like others. This month, several interesting content is going to be released, which was before part of the news.

Now, trainers and Niantic both are looking forward to Mega Evolution. Currently, Mega Raid and Special Research on Mega Evolution have been added in the game. Most of the players have completed the Special Research task and earned their special reward.

In September many new 5 Tier Raid bosses will arrive, and some new Mega Pokemon will arrive as well. However, Niantic is working on some interesting challenges that will make the players do more Raid battles. Along with the Raid battles, Niantic is offering Remote Raid Passes that only cost 1 PokeCoin, but it’s only one time offer. However, players can claim this offer in September anytime.

Unlock Mega Pidgeot

From 1st September to 7th September, players have to complete 2 million Mega Raids together. If trainers complete this goal before the ending of the week, they will unlock the Mega Pidgeot. After the challenge completes, Mega Pidgeot will appear on Mega Raid battles, where trainers can earn the Mega Energy of Pidgeot. Well, it’s a tough task because players are not taking much interest in Mega Raid battles, but if it’s about Mega Pidgeot, then probably trainers are ready for it. A few months back, Niantic gave the same challenge to players, but the reward was different.

Nevertheless, trainers will get some additional rewards while playing Mega Raids. To make the trainers reach the goal easily, Niantic has increased the Mega Raids. If trainers play with their friends, they can have additional bonus damage to the Raid boss. The Field Research will also provide Mega Energy as a reward for starter Pokemon of 1st Generation. Some Pokemon like Exeggcute, Tangela, Omanyte, Murkrow, Treecko, Lotad, Beldum, Cranidos, Magnemite, Rhyhorn, Electabuzz, Aerodactyl, Larvitar, Torchic, and Roselia will appear more frequently in the wild.

Unlock Mega Houndoom and Mega Beedrill

From 11th September to 17th September, Niantic will bring the same process, and if players complete the challenge, they will launch Mega Houndoom in Mega Raid as well. Players will be able to use the Mega Evolved Pokemon to compete against Team Go Rocket battles, Gym Battles, and also Trainer Battles. However, players can’t use the Mega Evolved Pokemon in Go Battle League.

Trainers all around the world have to complete at least 275 million Raid Battles to appear in Mega Houndoom in the Mega Raid battles. To get the Mega Beedrill, trainers have to complete the Special Research tasks. Once a trainer completes the Special Research, they will obtain the Mega Energy of Beedrill that will allow Beedrill to evolve in Mega Beedrill. If trainers use Mega Beedrill in the Mega Raid battle of Houndoom, they will get a CP boost too.

The presence of Bug-type Pokemon like Scyther, Paras, Weedle, Caterpie, Ledyba, and many more Pokemon will appear in the second week. The Team Go Rocket will offer new shadow Pokemon.

Other September Events

There are many more events that will arrive in September. At the end of the month, players can also obtain Mega Gengar. In every week of September, players will see some new changes in the game. After every week, the spawn Pokemon will change along with Raid bosses. A new large category of Pokemon like Arbok, Onix, Hitmonlee, Jynx, Lapras, Furret, Dunsparce, Skarmory, Wailmer, Hariyama, Mantine, Wobbuffet, Snorlax, Pinsir, Hitmonchan, Alolan Exeggutor, and Doduo will appear in the game too. In the game shop, Mega Bracelet items are also available.
