Best Films to Watch on Netflix About Black Live Matter

A few months ago, America was burning with the spirit of activism and awareness to spread information about the Black Lives and what discrimination they have to experience in their daily lives. Police brutality leads to protests in different parts of the country. Even celebrities came out to support this because Black-Americans have faced discrimination and poor behavior all their lives. If you want to understand them and their plea in-depth, there is nothing better than watching the events at hand. You can start by interacting with black people or start with a movie that shows their daily life struggles.

Recently, Netflix launched a separate category dedicated to black people and titled it ‘Black Lives Matter.’ Through this category, they are trying to raise awareness about the gravity of the situation. If you are interested in learning and gaining insights on the situation, watch the following movies on Netflix.

She expresses what it was like to be an African-American living in the White House.

13th

13th is a 2016 American documentary film by Ava DuVernay. It explores the intersection of race, justice, and mass imprisonment in the United States. The film’s title is inspired by the ‘Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution,’ which was adopted in 1865. This amendment abolished slavery throughout the United States and ended involuntary servitude for black people. Thus, the film focuses on showing the history of racial inequality in the United States. It also indicates how the nation’s prisons are disproportionately filled with African-Americans.

Netflix is offering a massive collection of movies, so you can explore and watch anything you prefer. The ones mentioned in this list are must-watch if you want to have a better and in-depth look into black people’s hearts and minds.
