  1. Go to the ‘Settings’ app from the home screen on your iPhone and iPad.
  2. Locate the ‘Touch ID and Passcode’ option and click on the same.
  3. Enter the password of your phone for verification before beginning the process. Note: It maintains your security and restricts anyone else to change the settings.
  4. Turn the slider off for ‘Use Touch ID.’ You’ll have to turn the slider off for all other settings to completely disable the feature.
  5. iPhone/iPad unlock – If you turn off the slider for this setting, you won’t have to verify with a Touch ID any longer, before unlocking the phone.
  6. Apple Pay – If you turn off the slider for Apple Pay, you no longer have to verify before making purchases.
  7. iTunes and App Store – If you turn off the slider for this setting, you can download anything with purchases, without having to verify for the same.
  8. Enable the passcode in the settings, before finishing off the process.
