Avatar 2 Has Completed Shooting

The director of Avatar 2 recently shared that they have finished shooting the live-action sequence of the film. James Cameron is working on the four sequels of the 2009 movie Avatar. Reportedly, the film has a budget of roughly around $1 billion. So if you are a fan of the Avatar franchise and excited about the upcoming movie then read the article till the end. We will try to cover all updates regarding the project.

Avatar 2 is an upcoming American science fiction movie produced, edited, directed, and co-written by James Cameron. It is the sequel of the first movie Avatar that was released in 2009. The film has a huge star cast in combination with the few original stars, and many joined in the sequel. Sam Worthington, Stephen Lang, Matt Gerald, CCH Pounder, Dileep Rao are the actors who will be in their reprising roles in the original movie. And Vin Diesel, Kate Winslet, Michelle Yeoh, Cliff Curtis, Brendan Cowell, and CJ Jones are the actors who joined the team.

In some of the early interviews in 2006, Cameron said that he would like to make the sequel of Avatar if the first movie was successful. And after receiving positive responses for the first movie, he planned to release the sequel in 2014. But the project went under development hell as the team was not able to shoot underwater sequences properly with the old technique cameras. So Cameron decided to develop a new technology to perform the underwater scenes better.

The shooting of the film started on 15 August 2017 in Manhattan Beach, California, and now the film is finally wrapped in September 2020. The production of the movie indeed faced delays thanks to the global pandemic coronavirus. The filmmaker kept most of the content under the wrap except few details including the hint of involvement of the character of star Sigourney Weaver and few glimpses of a big battle on the surface of Pandora.

In a recent interview with his old collaborator Arnold Schwarzenegger helped to promote the Austrian world Summit environmental conference, Cameron revealed that despite the various delays he had finished the shooting of all the live-action of the four sequels. He said: Wel, COVID hit them like it hit everybody… They lost about four and a half months of production. As a result of that, they have rolled around one more full year of release in December 2022. Now that does not mean he has an extra year to finish the movie, because the day they will finish delivering Avatar 2, they have to work on the next project Avatar 3.

So it seems like the team is all ready to hit the box office with their back to back sequels. I hope this as an informative article for you.
