Major MCU Villain Who Wasn’t Killed Off

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is known for powerful villains, but not every villain in the MCU has ended up getting killed. Many villains still exist in the franchise and are waiting for an opportunity to return. Out of several villains introduced by the MCU, most of them only had one-off appearances, but some lucky villains were not appropriately killed at the end of the film and continue to live as per the tale of the Infinity Saga.

The MCU is going into Phase 4, which is a new Phase for the bright future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In this Phase, new villains and heroes are expected to be introduced by Marvel Studios in the upcoming movies and TV shows. However, there are possibilities that many of the previously-appeared villains might get a chance to make their way back to the MCU.

Here are some of the major villains who were not killed off.

The Abomination

The actor Tim Roth played the role of Emil Blonsky in the film, The Incredible Hulk, which was released in the year 2008. He was given a task to capture Bruce Banner/Hulk. Emil turned into Abomination by injecting a different type of the Super Soldier Serum transfused with Bruce Banner’s gamma-radiated blood. He started to destroy New York City, and Hulk made him under control. There is a possibility that he can reunite with the Marvel Studios.

Justin Hammer

Justin Hammer is another hilarious villain of the film, Iron Man 2. The actor Sam Rockwell played the role of Justin Hammer very well and gained a lot of fame in the villainous character. The former CEO of the Hammer Industries recruited Ivan Vanko/Whiplash to help him in creating a replica of Iron Man’s arc reactor. But, Vanko betrayed and at the end. In this way, Justin Hammer has a chance to appear in the future of the MCU.

Georges Batroc

Georges Batroc was an infamous mercenary and one of the most wanted criminals. He was captured in Algiers. He has been in the custody of SHIELD since he was captivated. Later, it was revealed that he was sent by Nick Fury so that Black Widow could steal valuable information without the interference of Captain America. In this way, he is another villain who has the potential to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Surtur

Surtur was first introduced at the beginning of the film, Thor: Ragnarok. Surtur is the ruler of Muspelheim and was killed during his initial encounter with Thor. Thor and Loki tried to defeat Hela and resurrect the villain Surtur. The Surtur fulfilled the prophecy and did not know that the Asgardians and Thor had evacuated. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has featured Surtur since then. So, Marvel also has a chance to feature Surtur in the upcoming films.

Loki

Loki, also known as the God of Mischief, is one of the best supervillains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thanos may have killed him at the end of the film Avengers: Infinity War, but Marvel Studio somehow managed to continue his story through Avengers: Endgame time heist. When Loki was at his peak villain state, he grabbed the Tesseract and escaped with it. Therefore, it created a branched timeline in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It may be possible that he will reunite with Thor in the upcoming series Loki on Disney+. In this way, Loki has a chance to reappear in the future of the MCU.

After discussing some of the major MCU’s villains who were not killed off, we have concluded that the future of the MCU is secured with the existence of such fantastic villains and their scope to reappear in the MCU. Each one possesses different and unique powers that Marvel Studios has to consider and should give a fair chance to any of the best villains of the MCU.
